Welcome to 4th grade!

Dear 4th Graders,

I hope you had a fun-filled, happy summer! I have been working hard to prepare for the new school year and I'm looking forward to seeing you in September. I re-read Save Me a Seat and I think you'll enjoy our discussions about it when we return. I hope you like the book as much as I do. Please bring the question packet and book with you on the first day of school. I am saving you a seat in our classroom. :)

There are a few things you can do to be sure 4th grade is successful for you. First, it is expected that you have mastered your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. If you haven't, the more advanced work this year will seem much more difficult. There are many apps, websites, practice sheets, and workbooks to help you practice if you need to. Get those memorized!

Most importantly, be ready to come with a positive attitude this year. Our work will not be easy, but you will meet great challenges if you are ready to work for it! I have some wonderful STREAM activities ready for you, you will soon meet your Church Buddy, and I will teach you the story of how our great nation was born! You'll make lots of mistakes this year, and you may find some things we do sort of hard. Although, we will help each other and we'll all give our best effort. I have a really good feeling about this year to come!

Here is my Fourth Grade Supply List for the 2017-2018 School Year:

Happy Summer Vacation! Please bring your money and supplies listed below on the FIRST DAY OF 4TH Grade.

          • $25.00 for ALL classroom supplies which I will be purchasing for you
          • $10.00 for a year-long subscription to Storyworks magazine by Scholastic
          • $5.00 for a student planner
          • 3 boxes of tissues
          • 2 containers of Clorox wipes
          • An art smock or an old oversized t-shirt
          • 1 2-pocket folder with tabs for Art class

Thank you for your cooperation! I hope I have helped make Back-To-School shopping a lot easier. I am very excited to work with you in September. I hope you have a fun, relaxing, and safe summer vacation! I will be sending home more information about 4th Grade in the near future. See you in September!

Sincerely,
       Miss Lopardi
