Mrs. Siczewicz's Page

Hello! My name is Lori Siczewicz and I am excited to be the new 3rd Grade teacher at Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls!

I have taught in several Catholic Schools since completing my education at Buffalo State College. I began my career at St. John Kanty in Buffalo where I taught grade 3. I then taught 3rd and 1st grades at Our Lady Help of Christians in Cheektowaga and most recently I taught 2nd grade at Mary Queen of Angels, also in Cheektowaga.

Over the summer I will be spending time at school organizing materials and preparing the classroom. As the school year draws closer I will certainly be in contact with you but I wanted to first of all introduce myself and express how happy I am to be joining such a fine school!

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to ensure the your child has a wonderful 3rd grade experience! Thank you!

Here's my Third Grade Supply List and Summer Reading assignment for the 2017-2018 School Year. See you in September!

Third Grade Summer Reading

Your first assignment as a third grade student is to read the book How to Be Cool in Third Grade by Betsy Duffey. This book can be purchased at Barnes and Noble for around $5.00. You may find this book for a similar price at amazon.com.

You are responsible for answering all of the questions (from the Summer Reading assignment link above) on a separate piece of lined paper. I expect at least 1 complete sentence per question. This assignment is due on September 11, 2017. We will be having discussions and doing activities that relate to this book. Please start the year off in a positive way by having the assignment completed!

How to Be Cool in Third Grade is a funny book and a great way to start off the new year! I know you will enjoy reading it and I can't wait to discuss it with you in September. Happy Reading!
