Mrs. Siczewicz's Page

Hello! My name is Mrs. Lori Siczewicz and I enjoy teaching the 3rd grade here at Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls! I have been teaching elementary students for 37 years in the Diocese of Buffalo since completing my education at Buffalo State College.

My teaching career began in September of 1981 in Grade 3 at St. John Kanty School in Buffalo. In September of 1984, I started teaching at Our Lady Help Of Christians School in Cheektowaga. There I taught Grades 3 and 1. When OLHC closed, I began teaching at Mary Queen of Angels School and taught 2nd grade there for 14 years. Sadly, it also closed in June of 2017.

In June 2017, I was very blessed to receive a call from Mrs. Fortunate the Principal of CAONF offering me the opportunity to join her faculty and teach Grade 3!

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to ensure the your child has a wonderful 3rd grade experience! Thank you!

Here's my Third Grade Supply List and Summer Reading assignment for the 2017-2018 School Year. See you in September!

Third Grade Summer Reading

Your first assignment as a third grade student is to read the book How to Be Cool in Third Grade by Betsy Duffey. This book can be purchased at Barnes and Noble for around $5.00. You may find this book for a similar price at amazon.com.

You are responsible for answering all of the questions (from the Summer Reading assignment link above) on a separate piece of lined paper. I expect at least 1 complete sentence per question. This assignment is due on September 11, 2017. We will be having discussions and doing activities that relate to this book. Please start the year off in a positive way by having the assignment completed!

How to Be Cool in Third Grade is a funny book and a great way to start off the new year! I know you will enjoy reading it and I can't wait to discuss it with you in September. Happy Reading!
