Mrs. Weaver's Page

Art has always been something I've been excited about since I can remember. Exploring art materials and techniques, learning about paintings and artists are very important elements within the art class. During these classes, I encourage my art students to "think outside the box" when expressing their creativity. My goal for every student is that they take with them each and every year, the knowledge, enthusiasm and the enjoyment of creating something that they can be proud to say they made themselves.

I have been an Art Teacher for 22 years. The last 2 years I have been teaching art here at the Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls to Pre-K4 through grade 6 students. Every one of those years have been unique, refreshing and most importantly, FUN because of the students.  As I challenge them with different art projects, I also challenge myself.

My Art Curriculum follows NYS Standards for the Performing Arts and I also incorporate many of the core subjects which include Math, Science and Social Studies.
