Mrs. Champoux's Page

Welcome to Sixth Grade! My name is Mary Champoux, and I have the pleasure of teaching sixth grade here at Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls. This is my second year here at Catholic Academy, returning from 10 years at the former St. Dominic Savio Middle School. I joined St. Dominic’s when the schools merged and sixth grade became part of the middle school complex, and continued to teach 6th-8th grade Religion, and Spanish. I returned to Catholic Academy (formerly Prince of Peace School) where I taught 6th grade for three years prior to moving. Despite the changes in buildings, nothing has changed my passion for teaching middle school students. It is my goal to create a classroom community that fosters the individual growth of young adolescents, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. Focus is placed on preparing students for the rigor of middle school and helping our students become organized and successful.

In addition to teaching here at Catholic Academy of Niagara Falls, I also teach Middle School Methods at Niagara University to future teacher candidates, and Reading Foundations II and III at Niagara County Community College.

Here's my Sixth Grade Supply List and the Fifth Grade Religion and Spanish Supply List for the 2017-2018 school year. See you in September!
